Ecuadorian Psychotherapist and Curandera, blending Western and Andean modalities for deeper healing

Family Constellations & Tobacco Ceremony

December 5–7 | East Boston

What if the next step isn’t something you can think your way through?

Is there something in your life you're ready to change, but somehow you keep finding yourself in the same place? The same thought. The same argument. The same situation—even when the people are different.

Maybe you know exactly what the pattern is. You know what needs to change, and you may even know what you want to do differently—but somehow, knowing hasn't been enough. Maybe you've talked about it in therapy, journaled about it, read the books, or tried again and again to approach it differently.

Or maybe you don't know what needs to change. You just know that what's happening now isn't working anymore, and you're not sure what the next step might be.

Sometimes our minds are ready to move forward, but something else needs to click.

Across many traditions, people have understood healing as something that involves not only the mind, but also the body, our emotions, our relationships, our families, and—in some traditions—the soul.

Today, we might describe some of this as somatic healing: working not only with what we consciously understand, but with the patterns and experiences we carry more deeply.

This December, Tatiana Dávila will be traveling from Ecuador to Boston for three days of deep healing work, offering a special opportunity to work with her in person.

Whether there is a particular pattern you are ready to change, something you are ready to let go of, or simply a sense that you are ready for the next layer of your healing, you are invited to join us.

Three Days — Come for One or Join Us for All Three

You are welcome to participate for one day, two days, or the full three-day experience. You do not need to commit to the entire weekend.

December 5 — Traditional Family Constellation Work

Tatiana will facilitate a day of traditional Family Constellation work.

Family Constellations were developed by German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger and explore the ways our relationships, families, histories, and experiences can shape patterns in our lives—sometimes in ways we consciously understand and sometimes in ways we don't.

Tatiana brings her own unique perspective to this work. Drawing on both her training as a Western psychotherapist and her decades of experience with Andean healing traditions, she is able to weave together Western therapeutic and traditional Andean resources as the work unfolds.

The work creates an opportunity to see familiar patterns from a different perspective and explore what may be ready to shift.

December 6 — Family Constellations & Dis-ease

The second day will use Family Constellation work with a particular focus on dis-ease: exploring and moving patterns that may contribute to physical disease in the body.

This work offers an opportunity to explore physical illness through a systemic and somatic lens, looking at family, relational, emotional, and other patterns that may be held in the body.

This work is intended to complement—not replace—appropriate medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.

December 7 — Traditional Tobacco Ceremony

Our final day will be a traditional tobacco ceremony facilitated by Tatiana.

For those participating throughout the weekend, the ceremony can offer an opportunity to bring together and integrate the work of the previous two days.

You are also welcome to attend the December 7 ceremony even if you are not participating in both Family Constellation days.

About Tatiana

Tatiana was born and raised in Ecuador and is mestiza, with both European and Indigenous ancestry. This intersection is deeply reflected in her work.

She brings together more than 25 years of experience as a trained therapist with more than 30 years of experience studying and working with Indigenous Andean traditions and healing practices.

Her approach recognizes that healing can happen on many levels. Sometimes we need to understand our experiences. Sometimes we need to feel them. Sometimes we need to experience something differently before a pattern that has been with us for years can finally begin to change.

Tatiana normally works from Ecuador and travels only periodically to the United States. Her visit to Boston is an opportunity to experience this work with her without traveling internationally.

You Don't Have to Be "Spiritual"

You don't need to have experience with Family Constellations, somatic work, Indigenous traditions, or ceremony to participate.

You also don't need to subscribe to any particular spiritual belief.

You may come to this work from years of therapy and personal development. You may come from a spiritual or contemplative practice. Or you may simply be curious about exploring something that you haven't been able to shift through thinking and talking alone.

Come as you are.

English & Spanish Welcome

Both English and Spanish are welcome throughout the experience.
Participants are invited to speak whichever language feels most natural and comfortable. We will make sure that all instructions, practices, and important content are accessible in both languages, while allowing conversation to flow naturally in the language of the group.

Coming From Outside Boston?

We've intentionally chosen East Boston, just minutes from Boston Logan International Airport, to make the weekend accessible to people traveling from outside the area.

If you've wanted an opportunity to work with Tatiana but traveling to Ecuador—or to one of the more difficult-to-reach locations where she occasionally works in the United States—hasn't been practical, this weekend offers a much easier way to join her.

We recommend staying at the Embassy Suits by Hilton, located 0.6 miles from our event, for an easy walk or Uber.
For a slightly more elevated stay, but a longer walk/Uber, you may also consider the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor, which is 1.1 miles from the event location.

Interested?

If you're curious but aren't quite sure whether this experience is right for you, we'd love to hear from you.

Fill out this form to learn more, ask questions, receive logistical information, or inquire about a scholarship.

There is no obligation to register.

Ready to Join Us?

If you already know you'd like to participate, register by November 1 to receive early-bird pricing.

Come for two.

Or give yourself all three days.

Testimonials

I first met Tati at a healing retreat in Ecuador. While we practiced many different healing modalities that week, I found Family Constellations to be the most profound.

I was amazed by the amount of insight I gained—and, even more, by how deeply those insights landed. They weren't things I simply understood intellectually; I felt like I understood them deep in my bones. I was able to reach insights in a matter of days that might otherwise have taken me months to uncover through therapy.

My work with Tati has profoundly shifted both my life and my understanding of myself and the people around me.
